Sports Nutrition in Team Sport Athletes

This research involves the evaluation of the adequacy of dietary intake by female team sport athletes and how this may impact both health and performance, investigating the sports nutrition knowledge of athletes and how this may influence dietary intake and the longitudinal assessment of dietary intake and energy expenditure among female Gaelic football players.

Michèle Renard

Michèle completed his undergraduate studies at Kingston University in London, graduating with a 1st class honours degree in Exercise, Nutrition and Health. Following this he completed a Masters degree in Applied Sports Nutrition at St Mary’s Twickenham University in London. Michèle is now a graduate registrant of the Association for Nutrition (AfN), and the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr). Michèle’s research dissemination so far includes a presentation on the “Nutrition Knowledge of Gaelic Football Players” at the International Sports & Exercise Nutrition Conference (ISENC 2019) and the co-authorship of a paper titled “Dietary Intake of Gaelic Football Players during Game Preparation and Recovery”.
